School of Foreign Languages (School of International Education)

The School of Foreign Languages (School of International Education) comprises the Department of Foreign Languages and the Department of College English. The school currently employs 51 faculty members, including 3 professors and 15 associate professors, with 100% holding either a Ph.D. or a Master's degree. The school has 811 students enrolled and offers a full-time undergraduate program in English, primarily aimed at cultivating highly qualified professionals in foreign trade, education, translation, and management.

The faculty boasts rich teaching experience and outstanding teaching skills. In recent years, more than 50 faculty members have been honored with titles such as "Wenzhou 551 Talent," "Teaching Master," "Rising Teaching Star," "Teaching Skills Award," "Excellent Teacher," and "Most Beloved Teacher." Over 80% of the faculty have overseas study or visiting scholar experience, and more than 50% are dual-qualified teachers. Faculty members have achieved remarkable results in various prestigious teaching competitions, such as the third prize in the Second National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, the special prize in the Second Zhejiang Province College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, and the first prize in the Zhejiang Finals of the National College Foreign Language Teaching Competition.

The program implements an "English+" talent cultivation model, emphasizing a solid professional foundation and enhancing students' practical abilities. Collaborations with enterprises and institutions such as the Wenzhou Business Development Promotion Center, Wenzhou Foreign Trade Association, Wenzhou Alibaba Collaborative Innovation Center, Lucheng District Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, and Wenzhou Bailu Foreign Language School have led to the establishment of over 30 off-campus practice bases. The program ("English+") has been approved as  High-level Industry-Education Integration Training Base in universities in Wenzhou. In recent years, students have achieved excellent results in various academic competitions, winning over 100 provincial and higher-level awards. Notable achievements include the grand prize in the National College Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition (English Major), the first prize in the "FLTRP Cup" National English Speaking Competition Online Contest, the first prize in the National College Student English Competition, and the first prize in the ETTBL National Business English Translation Competition (Translation Group). Graduates of the school are highly sought after by employers, with an employment rate consistently above 96%. Each year, a number of students are admitted to domestic graduate programs or pursue further studies at prestigious overseas universities.

The school strengthens its cooperation and exchanges with domestic and international universities, increasing its level of internationalization. Currently, the school has established partnerships with universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, and Taiwan, offering over 20 studying abroad and exchange programs. Each year, a group of outstanding students is selected to study at universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. Additionally, the school has engaged in deep cooperation and exchanges with universities in more than 10 countries and regions, including the University of Dayton in the United States, the University of South Wales, the University of Derby, Middlesex University, Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom, Cape Breton University in Canada, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the University of Warsaw in Poland, and Monash University in Australia, launching programs such as "4+1" Bachelor's and Master's continuous study programs.
