Strengthen Ethnic Unity and Promote Ethnic Culture - 2023 Wenzhou University of Technology Ethnic Unity and Progress Propaganda Month Officially Launched

In order to deeply implement the important thoughts of the Central Committee on strengthening and improving ethnic work, effectively carry out propaganda and education to forge the consciousness of the Chinese nation's common community in a vivid, practical and effective way, promote exchanges, interactions and integration among all ethnic groups, and create a thick atmosphere of ethnic unity and progress, our school's Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Association will carry out diversified and rich propaganda and education activities. On the afternoon of October 28, the launch ceremony of the 2023 Wenzhou University of Technology Ethnic Unity and Progress Propaganda Month was held on the Binhai Campus. 

The director of the United Front Work Department of our school, Lin Sheng Guang, the deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Longwan District and the director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, Lu Jinhua, and Zhou Qingping, member of the Party Working Committee of Xinghai Street, attended the launch ceremony. Related personnel from the United Front Work Department, Logistics and Infrastructure Management Office, School of Literature and Journalism, and School of Foreign Languages, as well as over 200 student representatives from various colleges, participated in the ceremony. 

Lin Sheng Guang made a speech on behalf of the school. On behalf of the school, he expressed sincere gratitude to the relevant departments at all levels for their long-term care and support for the school's work on ethnic unity and progress. He pointed out that Wenzhou University of Technology has always attached great importance to the cause of ethnic unity and progress. It has led teachers and students of all ethnic groups to unite closely, work with one heart and one mind, break new ground and create a great situation of joint development. In June last year, the school took the lead in establishing the first Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Association in Wenzhou - the Wenzhou Branch of Wenzhou Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Association of Wenzhou University of Technology, and successfully created five brand projects: "Pomegranate Red" Lecture Team, "Pomegranate Red" Fitness Team, "Pomegranate Red" Volunteer Service Team, "Pomegranate Red" Mutual Assistance Team and "Pomegranate Red" Help Team, achieving a series of construction achievements with regional characteristics in promoting the cause of ethnic unity and progress in Wenzhou. He pointed out that the school regards organizing this activity as a vivid practice to promote ethnic unity and progress in our school and as a splendid stage to showcase the characteristics of all ethnic groups and a powerful carrier to carry forward Chinese culture. He said that the launch ceremony is just the beginning. In the following days, a series of ethnic unity and progress propaganda activities will be carried out to let the main melody of ethnic unity resound on and off campus, and let the flowers of ethnic unity bloom all over Wenzhou. 

Amid enthusiastic applause, Lu Jinhua, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Longwan District and director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, presented the plaque of Wenzhou University of Technology Pomegranate Seed Station. Xie Chunwu, deputy party secretary of the School of Literature and Journalism, Du Xiaotie, deputy party secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, and Wu Xiaohu, deputy section chief of the Comprehensive Section of Logistics and Infrastructure Management Office, accepted the plaque. Liu Zhengbin, chairman of Wenzhou University of Technology Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Association, presented the title of external guidance teacher of Wenzhou University of Technology to intangible cultural heritage inheritors. 

  With Lin Sheng Guang's announcement of "The activities of Wenzhou University of Technology Ethnic Unity and Progress Propaganda Month are now officially launched", the attending leaders and guests jointly pressed the big screen, officially launching the 2023 Wenzhou University of Technology Ethnic Unity and Progress Propaganda Month.
