Principal Zhou Wenlong and entourage from Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Alliance conduct research at Suzhou University

To build a communication and liaison platform for the Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "the Alliance"), further unite the forces of Alliance council members, on November 21st, Zhou Wenlong, President of Wenzhou University of Technology and Chairman of the Alliance, Wu Xiangpeng, Vice President of Wenzhou University of Technology and Vice Chairman of the Alliance, Wang Dajiang, Qiao Baogang, Gao Kehua, Liu Xiufeng, Wang Naini, Shen Jiwei from the Alliance Secretariat and others visited Suzhou University for research and exchange. Li Fuhua, President of Suzhou University, Wang Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Hongyan, Director of the Teaching Affairs Office (Innovation and Entrepreneurship College), Chen Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League warmly welcomed the research. Wu Xiangpeng hosted the exchange meeting. 

During the exchange meeting, Wang Hongyan and Chen Yu introduced the situation, ideas and experience of Suzhou University's innovation and entrepreneurship education work in aspects such as course construction, competition activities, practice platforms and maker spaces. Wang Dajiang, on behalf of the Alliance Secretariat, reported on the work concept, recent work contents and future work ideas of the Alliance. The participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions around innovation and entrepreneurship education, construction of the Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, and in-depth cooperation between the Alliance and universities. During the meeting, a commissioning ceremony was held for some Alliance council members. 

Li Fuhua, the president of Suzhou University and vice chairman of the Association, delivered a speech. He said that as the vice chairman unit of Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Association, Suzhou University takes the construction of theAssociation as an important grasp to improve the quality of running a school. In the future, it will play a leading and demonstration role in the development of Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Association, further promote exchanges between universities, help the steady and rapid development of entrepreneurship education for youth in  six countries along Lancang and Mekong River, and contribute the strength of universities to jointly build the community of shared future for the countries.

In his concluding remarks, Zhou Wenlong pointed out that the establishment of the Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Alliance responds to the spirit of the "Belt and Road" initiative and actively promotes cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation among the people. He emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship education, as an important carrier of talent cultivation, member units of the Alliance should take advantage of opportunities for Lancang-Mekong countries cooperation to transform innovation and entrepreneurship education concepts into educational practice, summarize and promote the successful experiences of entrepreneurship education in Lancang-Mekong countries’ national universities, enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of college students in the six Lancang-Mekong countries, and better and faster contribute to the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship education in Lancang-Mekong Countries countries to support economic development and construction in them. 

This mutual visit and exchange is a power-charging trip that opens a new chapter in the development of the Alliance, with great significance. Representatives of the Alliance all expressed their hope that this mutual visit and exchange will serve as the starting point to continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation, build an exchange and development platform, explore new spaces for win-win cooperation of the Alliance, and better play the functions and enhance the influence of the Alliance.
