On the morning of October 24, 2024, Wenzhou University of Technology held the opening ceremony of the 2024 European Youth Cultural Experience Camp in China and the launching ceremony of the 4th International Cultural Exchange Month in Binhai Campus. More than 40 teenagers from France and Germany gathered at Wenzhou University of Technology to start a 10-day wonderful journey. Zhou Wenlong, President of Wenzhou University of Technology, Lou Liaofan, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, Sven Zimmerschied, Principal of Fristenburg Middle School in Berlin, Germany, Zheng Ying, Principal of Huade Chinese School in Germany, Jonathan CLAIRE, French team leader and other leaders and Guests attended the opening ceremony.
Zhou Wenlong warmly welcomed French and German teachers and students who came from afar. He hoped to take this Chinese cultural experience camp as an opportunity to open a new chapter of cultural exchanges between Wenzhou University of Technology and European youth, and promote international educational cooperation and Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.

After the opening ceremony, Lou Liaofan held a lecture on the theme of "China's National Situation and Sino-European Relations" for the teachers and students present. He deeply analyzed China's national conditions, covering many aspects such as politics, economy, culture and society. In addition, he also introduced in detail the development trajectory and current situation of China-Europe relations, and emphasized the importance and future prospects of cooperation between the two sides. This lecture gave the European teachers and students present a deeper understanding of China and a more comprehensive understanding of China-Europe relations, laying a solid foundation for subsequent exchange activities.
On the afternoon of the same day, the theme of "Singing the Voice of Friendship - Sino-European Cultural Exchange Concert" was held in the Binhai Administrative Building. The teenagers in France and Germany performed programs such as "You Smile So Beautifully", "Wish" and "On Morals" respectively. Their carefully prepared performances in Chinese won the warm applause of the teachers and students on the scene.
After the concert, Mr. Yang Xiaomin of our school gave a lecture entitled "Combined with Words to Listen to the Red Mansions" for European teenagers. After the lecture, the students had a warm exchange with European teenagers and shared their understanding of literature and music. The event ended successfully with laughter, leaving an unforgettable chapter for Sino-European cultural exchanges.
